CRYOGENIC GAS EXPANSION UNIT

This gearbox test unit was engineered for a cryogenic energy storage pilot plant (350kW at 48,310 rpm). It was developed to validate the customer’s emerging technology. The application uses heat from a biomass plant to improve system efficiency and is currently housed at the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Cryogenic Energy Storage to support testing and academic research.

CO2 WASTE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM

This pilot gearbox test bench system (500 kW at 40,000 rpm) was developed to test a heat engine using industrial-grade liquid CO2 as the working fluid. The program supported validation of new customer technology in real-world conditions.

HYDROGEN DELIVERY SYSTEM

This custom industrial gearbox test bench was developed for a high-performance hydrogen compressor used in pipeline transmission (60,055 rpm at 1.1 MW). The gearbox supports the U.S. Department of Energy’s clean hydrogen initiatives and helps promote emissions-free, secure energy systems.

HELICOPTER ENGINE TEST BENCH GEAR UNIT

This two-stage gearbox was developed for a helicopter propeller test bench, simulating full-load conditions at maximum speed (19 MW at 21,000 rpm). The gearbox mass replicates the inertia of rotor blades and is used for high dynamic endurance testing in aerospace applications.
