Lift Gear Training Seminar
ARTEC & DOPPELMAYR TO HOST THE 7th ANNUAL LIFT GEAR TRAINING SEMINAR
IN CONNECTICUT, USA.
26th – 27th April, 2017.
Now in its 7th year, a seminar where lift managers and lift maintenance personnel can get extensive, theoretical and practical training directly from the companies that produce and assemble their lift systems. Take the classroom theory out to our shop and put it into action where you will be working on real gearboxes from the lift drive systems that mountain resorts rely on every day.
Artec’s service repair facility will serve as an interactive classroom which will allow attendees to put theory into practice. Participants will get a chance to assemble and disassemble ski lift gear boxes that are on site. Lift maintenance crews will get a chance to learn and practice a wide variety of diagnostic methods that they can take back to the lifts they operate and maintain. These methods include oil sampling analysis, audio and visual inspection, and vibration analysis.
The two day seminar will include a class rotation taught by experts from Artec and Doppelmayr. Classroom sessions will cover fundamentals of gear types and terminology, recommended forms of maintenance, procedures, practical troubleshooting techniques related to gear toothing, backstops, bearings, couplings, alignments, gear failure modes and much more.
